BlueStreak : Blues Rock Rhythm Band
It's not the "same ole same ole"............. You'll hear a new spin on familiar favorites that you haven't heard in a while, and a lot of great new songs you'll hear for the first time. Rock & blues with a hard drivin' groove. We're constantly adding new material in many different genres, so there's always something in there for everyone.
Style: Contemporary Electric Blues and a taste of Rock, R&B, & Soul - BB King, SRV, Hendrix...
Members: Rick Wallace (Vocals, Harp)
Rick spent many years as a drummer for local rock bands. Fate later placed him in groups that played for audiences appreciative of both kinds of music.....Country AND Western’. When country music sold out, Rick got out. Fortunately, his Achy Breaky Heart was soon healed by the blues. Rick abandoned the drums for harp, after discovering:
(1) Harmonicas are a whole lot easier to lug around
(2) You can ‘t play a Little Walter solo on drums, no matter how hard you blow into ‘em
Sal Visalli (Guitar)
Sal has risen like the phoenix, after sharpening his chops in various basement/
garage bands. One can hardly blame him for aspiring to the glamorous world of performing in backyards, shopping centers and bars where police chalk outlines are considered interior decoration. Despite his talent and enthusiasm, Sal is his own worst critic. This will either insure his continued proficiency as a musician, or it ‘ll turn him into a bitter, paranoid recluse. We ‘re hoping for the former.
Quote: Yeah, I ‘m SURE I was never in the porn business’
Jack Rosendale (Guitar, Perspiration)
Jack spent his deformative years in bands that bravely defied musical convention, performing much original material as well as a diverse array of covers. This innovative approach propelled these bands from obscurity to complete anonymity, and eventual non-existence. Two ex-wives and three nervous breakdowns later, he returned to his first love, the blues. He then unwittingly made a pact with Satan (or maybe it was his second ex-wife....kinda hard to tell the difference), which resulted in poverty and ruination. Jack believes that playing in a blues band will in no way compromise the conditions of this pact.
Dan Swoboda (Bass, Vocals)
After numerous failed attempts at recruiting a bass player, Dan ‘s arrival was
viewed as a gift from the gods. His prior experience was evident, and allowed for
seamless integration into the band, Dan expressed great enthusiasm for playing material that hasn ‘t been heard a million times before. His desire to avoid the mainstream and predictable was proof enough that there must be something wrong with him. At that point, there was no doubt that we ‘d found the right guy.
Fun Fact: Dan possesses one of few known amplification systems powered by a thermonuclear reactor
Dave Marsh (Drums, Vocals)
Dave is another veteran musician whose tour of duty included playing in
several Baltimore club bands. He was initially recruited as a stop-gap bassist,
but gravitated toward the drums where, despite a brief yet disturbing relationship with a CPR doll, he has proven to be an invaluable asset. Dave ‘s place in the band is insured, not only by his musical talent, but by being the only one of us who knows which plug goes into what hole.

Steve Ruth (Piano, Organ, Squeezebox, Vocals)
Steve, the newest gangmember, was lured into the band under the pretense of buying a magazine subscription. After several weeks of visiting us during band practice, it became apparent that we weren't going to buy anything from him, but by then we had him hooked.Steve's vast experience and proficiency on the keyboards has contributed immensely to the band's overall sound and presense, but he is most appreciated for his ability to put up with the rest of us.
